There are 12 months in a year, which means that there are twelve days a year when it is "the fourth". Unless you have a birthday on the fourth like Tito Fuentes (January), Ed Giovanola (March), Darin Erstad (June), Tony Gwynn Jr. (October), or Tadahito Iguchi (December), most of those "fourths" don't really mean a whole lot.
But in July, The Fourth means that it's time for my favorite holiday - Independence Day!
A day so awesome that it's known as simply "The Fourth". Happy birthday America, you could do with a lift and a tuck, but you don't look a day over 237. God bless you.
